Shut Up All the Creaks and Squeaks with One Grab Adhesive

‘What was that noise? / I didn’t leave the tap running?! / Who’s coming up the stairs now?!’…
Most people just love binge-watching horror thrillers, typically squeaky-creaky scary movies. No one loves living in a typically thrilling horror film set though. Is your home turning into a Hollywood set perfect for an exciting scare-encore? Loose windowpanes, easily audible staircases, creaking doors, weepy damp ceilings?
Get a grab adhesive and glue them shut!
What’s a grab-adhesive? You know what it is, so let’s try a better question.

How and Where to Use it Best?
If you have a proper grab glue, you can just about glue anything up. At least that’s what the advertisements say. Before using one though, there are certain things which you need to know.
Now, don’t start thinking whether you need to go through all of this only to buy a tube of glue. Here’s a sneak peek of things which can go wrong.
So, there’s this chap who gets a tube of industrial glue apparently all impressed with its ‘glue-anything’ tagline. He fixes the loose railings on the staircase, tests it after an hour or so, climbs up a couple of stairs, puts some weight on it and breaks a leg, literally.
That’s not how you want things to end up, do you?

Give it a Day!
24 hours; the best adhesives guarantee adhesion but you have to give it a day. This is also something you should look out for in every single advertising tag line.

Some Serious Bondage…
Bonding strength that is, this is a technical measure for any and every adhesive product. Without going straight into the numbers proper, all you have to do is see if there’s a mention, something along the lines of – ‘excellent bonding strength.’ Now, if it has a little more extra to it, ‘even when vertical,’ you’re gluing up with the right bondage overnight.

Water-Proof
Let’s face it – you have a damp wall or floor around somewhere. Here’s a tip to know whether the best glue’s worth it. Drop some in water. If it doesn’t dissolve at all, you’re good to go!
Glue things up then! Grab the right glue first though.
